Abstract Shape – Contrasting Line Movement

I decided to play around composition using color and abstract shapes. I ended up making three images based on the same basic composition.

This was created in Cinema 4D with subtle color adjusts in After Effects.
This time I wanted to simplify. So the cube was created in Cinema 4D, but I used hard shadows and no shadow falloff to give it a more graphic look. I created the rest in After Effects.
Same idea as the previous image, however, I wanted to give it a futuristic 80’s bent to really upset Chris Rundell or anyone else that hates the 80’s.
This is a simplified breakdown of what interested me about this composition. The cube creates a movement of lines traveling from the bottom left corner to the top right corner of the screen. The Horizontal lines slice the middle and cause a good sort of contrast or tension.
